  • While serving the country, you can travel across India to see the real picture of the country, you will have 21 thousand to 28 thousand rupees in your pocket every month. All this when you will serve only 9 to 10 months. You will get 2 months as annual leave depending on where you are serving and 20 days as casual leave. This shall not include the Saturdays, Sundays and holidays immediately preceding the holiday, nor shall the Saturdays, Sundays and holidays immediately following the end of the leave. Depending on the place of service, you may get to go home for two to three months.
  • After four years, when you say goodbye to the army, then you will get a guaranteed amount of Rs 11 to 14 lakhs and the savings will be yours. That is, after four years, you will be able to return home comfortably with 20 lakh rupees, that too tax free. And yes, it will be free from inflation with the application of annual increments.
  • After four years you will be called Agniveer and some states have already announced reservation of Agniveers in police cadre and Ministry of Home Affairs in CAPF as well. In four years, you will have to undergo a very rigorous training which will be no different from the training given till now. This training will strengthen your mental and physical strength and will help in building discipline, health and character, which is the most important thing. When Agniveer goes to the outside world after four years, he will be a role model in himself, a young man who played the biggest responsibility, protecting the country. Under this scheme, about 45 thousand army personnel will be recruited, out of which about 34 thousand will retire after 4 years. Year after year the figure will remain the same. ‘What To Do After Agnipath Retirement’

Apart from this, the youth who pass 10th and go to the post of Agniveer. They will also get help from the National Institute of Open Schooling to complete their 12th standard. Along with this, the National Institute of Open Schooling will soon make a special program for such Agniveers to study many other courses.
